Zo (Joseph Jean-Louis) wrote me to let me know that his nephew who had disappeared is fine.  He spent several days near the seminary that collapsed not knowing what to do.  He has finally returned to his family.  He is physically okay, but rather overwhelmed that so many of his friends died and he did not.

Zo's sister who was badly injured has been taken to Justinian hospital in Cap-Haitian, a long, arduous trip.  I don't understand his Creole as he describes her situation.  She's evidently in pretty bad shape, but at least is getting medical care.

He says he and his family have had "water in their eyes" constantly, and they are deeply saddened by the tragedy that has affected so many, but they are at least relieved with the news about his sister and nephew.  He is deeply grateful for the Americans who are helping the Haitian people.
